Syed Haider Raza
Born in 1922, Raza is an eminent Indian artist who has lived and worked in France since 1950 and has lately moved back to India. His works are mainly abstract in oil or acrylic, with a very rich use of colour, replete with icons from Indian cosmology as well as its philosophy.

Born in 1939, Chowdhury is known for his ability to successfully marry traditional imagery with the zeitgeist of contemporary painting, in a skillful blend of an urbane self-awareness and a highly localized Bengali influence.
